I was discussing the other night some ideas, with a friend
and we would like to get some ideas on pricing for what we’re trying
to accomplish <snip>.
Basically we would like to create a website, that would have special features
and do certain things on command.

Perhaps you should start by writing up a very clear proposal outlining exactly what you’re looking for. Then you can shop around different designers and agencies to get some quotes and a better idea of how much work is involved.
