How to SEO?

Hi All,

Well I’ve got a few questions about SEO and need some input from those of you who known this line of work well.

I’ve been asked by my boss to optimize their website so that it ranks in the top 3 on Google based on their business.

Also to Compare our site with that of our competitors (meaning anyone) based on the keywords I’ve been provided, which are the products and service that we sell.

How do you accomplish both of these, suggestions and website example are welcome.

I’d start with the stickies at the top of this forum and then come back with more specific questions - these are just too general to answer comprehensively.
