Anyone in the World? (probably not a good plan if yes)

You should focus on building a niche (ex. Nearly New Shoes)

Today social media is the most effective way to advertise any product or site. Try to place ad on facebook, twitter and others. Also, do backlinks, and SEO stuff for good result. If possible generate leads by finding on other existing classified ad sites. Get their email contacts and then do an email marketing for a sure advertising since there are lot of businesses who wants to post their ads for exposure.

I would start by putting your signature in all your poating once you are able to do so… Write a few articles and post them to as many article directories as you can. Do a press release

Have you tried submitting it to other directories and search engines? Also promote it throught other classified websites. However, I would not bother with some sites such as Free for all links, as they have gone they way of the dinasour.

If you want to promote your site than should concentrate on niche. You should put an add on other Classified site. If you will be able get a link to other classified site than am sure your site promote very soon.

If you have classified ad site so surely you require good postings in the site. For good postings you have to use some social network so that people will know about your site. Start participating in different SEO forums and QA sites let people know about your site first.
