How to make a wp template compatible with WooCommerce?

I don’t think that it has something to do with the plugin, because Woocommerce is a plugin and your template has nothing to do with that, even in case if your woocommerce plugin disturbing your look and feel try to edit the stylesheet and make it work according to you.

@godfather999 Can you provide more detail of what you trying to do? generally any template you make is ready to work with woocommerce, as woocommerce is a plugin.

I would like to buy THIS template from themeforest and I would like to sell few things so I need woocommerce… Will woocommerce work with this template? Also thing to notice, this is one page template, but I can still create a woocommerce pages and just copy the “buy now” html code from product to that homepage/template, right?

I think your lacking knowledge of woocommerce, i would recommend to just to install the plugin and activate it, and use sample data, before you do that, make sure you have a default wordpress theme installed, twentytwelve, twentythritheen etc. you will find out that you don’t need to copy html code for “buy now”, but if you do u want, always use shortcodes available here ,and suppose if you feel urge of playing with woocommerce code after buying the template from themeforest, make sure you copy woocommerce files from plugin folder to your theme folder, as it will become a child files and will not revert changes you made when you upgrade woocommerce.

My advice…start with wordpress using its default theme, install woocommerce, then install sample data of woocommerce and see and explore the frontend and see how it injects itself into any theme.

You can copy the WooCommerce template files into a “WooCommerce” folder in your theme. Then you can adapt the styles and HTML as needed to match the WooCommerce look and feel to the theme.
