My acer aspire 4750 has a bios password which was set by someone and I don’t know who it was and what it is. The password hint is 7CA9BC26 . I have a phoenix bios(don’t know version of it while booting just phoenix is shown). Any way to bypass the bios password ?
Either your Bios has a backdoor password or you’ll have to reset the CMOS to default values. This should help.
Just reset it, your motherboard manual should have instructions for that, or it should work removing for few seconds the battery from the motherboard.
O crap thought I had already replied. Well I tried all except removing the battery coz I don’t want to dismantle the laptop. Tried the KillCmos but says “Access is denied” any way to overcome that???
You can try with !BIOS or REMPASS
The first one will give you the passwords saved and REMPASS will tell you only 3 characters of the current password… this may be of help or not… depends if those 3 characters can help you guess the password of the machine
You can also download CMOS Passwords Recovery Tools
These tools have various methods to remove the password so you may need to read the help file.
Having said this, I don’t know if the latest versions of these programs will work with modern machines or not. Although I guess that CMOS have not evolved that much for this type of thing.
