Good design for online store?

Hello everybody. I have a request. I am helping a company re-design their storefront. As an IT professional, I usually code mvc apps, but have little to do with the html presentation, so I have come to you for assistance.

Please take a look at the proposed re-design (click any link from there to see the original) and leave any comments you have on it.

I recently watched a webinar from a major firm and a lot of what they said to do and not to do, was done in reverse by us. Before we re-design yet again, we need your input.

If you see something wrong, a no-no, or out of place, tell us not only what, but why, and give live examples if possible.

Thanks!

If I were you I would increase the line-height of the main text, makes it way more readable.
Take a look at A List Apart articles for examples.

What about things like:

Image use: Too many, too little?

The header: Too intricate, too simple?

The logo: Too busy, just right?

The colors: Too many, just right?

etc…

Hello Serenarules,

your post is a review request. We have a special forum for Website Reviews.

In order to post a review request, three users’ websites need to be reviewed first before a review of your own project can be submitted.
