Go to Line End short cut

Hi,

Another newbie question I’m afraid.

I seem to be constantly wanting to go to the end of a line when writing code (at this stage I always close divs when I open them so that I don’t lose track, and then go back and fill in the middle.) I know we have an END key on the keyboard, but I do have to look away from the screen to hit this, so would love to have a keyboard short-cut to take me to the end of the line. It may sound daft, but it would save me so much time and frustration!

I have tried to create my own short-cut, but from what I can see I have to “select the command category that contains the command shortcut you want.” and I can’t find a ‘go to’ category.

Any advice please?

I’d say you have two options. First is you could use VIM, which is based entirely on commands so it’d make everything easier - but not before it gets very complicated!

Second is simply train your hand to know where the End key is.

What program are you using? Notepad++ lets you make shortcuts with relative ease.

Ah good point! I’m using a very old Dreamweaver 8.
