Is there any free Windows App or Chrome/Firefox extension to make video from my screen when I am surfing a website? I found Chrome’s Screencastify but it is not free (it’s free has 5 min. limit.)

Coincidentally, I only discovered this today, when looking to make a screen recording at work.
But Windows 10 has a built in recorder. It’s actually for recording gameplay, but it will work on other apps. It won’t record the desktop or file browser though.
Hold the Windows button and press G, it should bring up the controls.
