For gaming: PC or Laptop?

which do you think is better?

With money that you spend on decent gaming laptop you can build almost twice as powerful PC.

The only advantage I see in a laptop is its portability, so you can use it on the move.
Other than that a desktop will be better in every way.

100% get a PC, the previous posters are right, for the same amount of money you’ll get a PC that’s twice as better performing.

I prefer to use laptop for gaming. I want to share with you my game recommendation list. I want to say that I am not big fan of video games but play quite often. So, my top is: angry birds, rich cars, dog hotel, rocky rider and many others. I prefer to play easy flash games which I do not need to install.

Definitely it depends on what games you play. For esports and casual older games, a laptop is just fine. I used a laptop for everything (including a lot of gaming) until August, with a fairly crappy GT 635m graphics card. If you want to play AAA titles then a desktop is a better bet.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on a gaming machine either. Best value for money is to get a refurbished office machine (like a Dell) with an i5 CPU and 8GB of RAM (second gen i5-2400 go for about $100-$150 on eBay), add a $150 GTX 1050Ti and you can play all the games at 1080p with decent settings. For less than $300.

I’ve been trying to play on a laptop several times and for me it was a disaster. PC is much more convenient.

PC is also likely to be more reliable. They don’t tend to get as hot as there is more room between components. Easy to swap out HDDs or upgrade graphics cards etc.

PC will be cheaper, but Laptop will be comfortable.

For gaming purpose I mostly support desktop rather than a loptop.
