Email about bit bucket account and Sitepoint

Just curious if anyone else received an email from Daniel at SitePoint Premium regarding the creation of a new Bit Bucket account and receiving a promo code for Sitepoint Premium? I did and followed the directions, but never got a reply back and it’s been over a week. Also, sent a follow-up email just to touch base and make sure everything was received well, but no reply to that either. I understand it might take a few days to verify the bit bucket information, but longer than a week with no follow-up seems odd. Was looking forward to the promo code and giving Sitepoint Premium another try since last time I had a 30 day free trial I ended up not being available for about 90% of the time and thus couldn’t really take advantage of the offer.

It is odd indeed. Maybe @Ophelie could look it up for you. We might be staff forum members but we’re volunteers. Ophelie is from SP HQ so she at least can ask

Yep - definitely no record of either of your emails on our end.

We’ve been in touch with users within 1-24 hours, so a week’s delay is definitely out of character.

I just got the same email today. Form Daniel@sitpoint. Followed directions and signed up for bitbucket. Took a screen shot and replied to the email (bitbucket@sitepoint.com). So far no response back

Hi, can I confirm if the Atlassian/bitbucket offer of 1 year free membership to sitepoint content is still valid. I just received an email invitation signed off by Daniel and am wondering if its a phising email. Thanks for your time and trouble.

The Bitbucket/Premium offer is still valid at this point.

We aren’t aware of any phishing attempts, but it’s probably in your best interest to exercise caution regardless.
