So I have a site that is getting amazing traffic: http://theofficialpageof.com it’s getting over 3,500 unique visits a day and 135,000+ expressions a month. The only problem is, I’m not making money off it. So I need help making money off of it or I just want to sell it for a good amount. any thoughts?
You know, what I really think would be good is those full background advertisements, like you see on imdb and myspace. What are those called exactly? and where can I find those coming soon movie advertisers? I think its perfect for this site, whats your take on those?

Your current ad placement is neither aggresive nor prominent. Given that your average user is someone interested in a particular celeb, they’re unlikely to click the badly targeted Adsense ad. I get an ad for Optical Express.
As you aren’t building any relationship with the visitor the best solution for monetising this site may be, sadly, the old pop-ups and pop-unders.

I think your website looks good. If you are able to generate some good traffic why are you planning to sell it? Well, Rome was not built in a day. If you want to take it big you really can. Just be patient.
Money will come by, Take the experience of the user to the next level.
Try adding some more AJAX driven applications etc.

The traffic that the site is receiving is really something, the site has a good PR as well.
When anyone asks me what they need to do to sell their website for the est possible dollar, it really is the same result every time. Look into what it is that the market is responding to, and monetize away using the right method.
Now, your site is a celebrity style blog, and the first thing that I notice is the big banner at the top for WordPress design. To me, that seems like a bit of a mismatch, not too sure that people looking for their favourite celebrity online would be al that responsive to an offer like that. I would more think something along the lines of an affiliate offer for a celeb gossip magazine, or something similar. Again, I’m just throwing ideas out there with that one.
You may also consider AdSense on a website like that with the number of uniques that you receive per day, it could be quite profitable, however, I will emphasize that it is not in what kind of money your website earns, it is in the potential that a buyers sees in your website.
For example, I couldn’t do a thing with that website, its not something that I am interested in, so I would probably pay a couple of hundred bucks for it, renovate it, then target buyers that I know are interested in a site like that.
The key is that a website is only worth so much to every person, the key is to find the right buyer who can do something with it. If that makes sense.
