Duplicate Content Issue

How would that help? I don’t think you need to post a link to a site to talk about how to write original content that isn’t flagged for being a duplication.

Hello webguru11,

Firstly, which site said it was a duplicate? I doubt if this site detects duplicate content immediately, when you say that you had written the post by yourself. It could be that they have other similar post in this “mysterious” site and just accept a post by subject…

Like Dan says, contact the site and ask them why they considered your article a duplication

Wonder if webguru11 remembers, considering he posted this question last August. This is a good thread addressing the issue of duplicate content and I’d like to keep it open, but I’ll close it if it becomes a fluff magnet.

BTW… a site doesn’t have to “mysteriously” detect duplicate content. There are several plagiarism checkers available online today. A check takes mere seconds and it is certainly cheaper than a lawsuit for copyright infringement.

It is proably check the directory with other articles in there directory and see if there is like sentences. You should ask them what parts are duplicate

I think in my experience Copyscape really helps me alot in terms of paragraph content.

Actually, Copyscape, in agreement with Google and Yahoo, uses their search engines to find duplication of content on the web. No, coyscape won’t tell you if your content is original, but it will tell you if it appears elsewhere on the web.

Algorithms for detecting duplicate content can easily have some false positives if you quote something or use a common phrase. I would contact the administrator of the site and ask him to manually review your work.

Maybe that site checking your content is using a bogus script in checking duplicates. I just don’t understand why it is giving a false signal.

If your post was contains just definitions of something, there is a pretty good chance it will show duplicate as there are not much variations of those things. Some article directories like ezinearticle and others require a good quality content as they review the content very carefully. make your post a little more elaborative and use some examples to make it powerful.
thanks
