Drupal hosting

We are converting a Wordpress site with 7K posts (300K page views/month) to Drupal and are looking for a new host provider with outstanding service.

Recommendations?

Why don’t shift to the VPS? Can you please share with us what web hosting solutuion are you currently using for it?

Both official web sites for drupal and for wordpress have good lists of suggested web hosts

Most hosting company will support Drupal.

It’ll be better to know how much resources you’ll need for the future. If it grows fast. better go for VPS.

I am in the process of shifting a relatively busy Drupal site over to Linode.com from Media Temple. Setup couldn’t have been easier and the speed is just fine.

Thumbs up for Linode, I say!

What hosting are you currently using? Is it a share hosting? Mine is a drupal site as well, and I am looking for some user suggestions.

I use VPS~because cheaper~but the speed is slowly~

I suppose you should buy vps or dedicated server and install Nginx web server to it.

It sounds like your site is using a lot of bandwidth. Not to mention Wordpress and Drupal are both server intensive compared with a plan HTML/CSS website. As others have suggested it may be best to look for a VPS or dedicated server.

Wordpress can’t really be put in Drupal’s class as bloated, heavy software. Coupled with a good cache plugin, WP can be quite good value per computing unit, especially if one doesn’t go nuts adding all the add-ons one can find out there.

I do agree. In fact now I think about it I haven’t seen many people over do the plugins. I have also heard some good things about wp super cache.
