Do you like kids?

I love my son.

Do I like kids? Yes. Do I like children? No.

I was a primary teacher for ten years. Totally over children. Although, I gotta admit, my little nieces and nephews are pretty cute (but donā€™t tell anyone I admitted it! )

Yes, I have now two daughters and I love them without hesitations.

Iā€™m pretty keen on my kids. Othersā€¦ not so much.

Not raw.

yes i like kids.

Yes I like interacting with children. You would be always happy and smiling if you are around kids. Just compare the environment with your workplace and see how different it is

i like kids and children both.

Yes, I like kids.

Since working with 6-7 year olds as a teaching assistant for a few months, Iā€™ve decided never to have childrenā€¦ they frighten the living behjeebus out of me :frowning:

Hahaha, reminds me of the movie Hocus Pocus where Winnie saysā€¦ ā€œI always wanted a child, and now I think Iā€™ll have oneā€¦ ON TOASTā€

I absolutely love kids.

How do children scare you Alex? lol

I like well mannered children, not those bold ā€œiā€™m too grown-upā€ spoiled ones :shifty:

Yes, as the saying goes, children should be obscene but not absurd.

One of the schools I worked in had kids with severe special needsā€¦ weā€™re talking the kind of kids who throw chairs, punch the teacher, rip fixtures off the walls, swear, screamā€¦ the works. I know all kids arenā€™t like that but honestly the experience put me off the whole idea for life. And if you were in the same environment for over a month so would you, it was like a war zone in that placeā€¦ and there were plenty of casualties who needed accounting for! :stuck_out_tongue:

When I became a primary teacher, my aunt (also a primary teacher) warned my mother that it would probably put me off having children. She was right!

And the ones I taught didnā€™t have special needs, either (well, for the most part). The ā€œtrials and tribulationsā€ of their parents were terrifying.

Do I like kids? Yes, I consider myself an old kid.

Do I like children, small, annoying, and outright obnoxious children? Iā€™ll let you decide

so thats an absolute yes then Ryan :stuck_out_tongue:

Iā€™ve worked with children before obviously teaching them computers - I have to say I never really had any trouble with anyone of them, youā€™d obviously have some that were messing around off and on but I suppose Iā€™m quite patient overall so it doesnā€™t affect me how unruly they can be, theyā€™ll eventually tire out plus you have the advantage because u know this

Children who act like they are too grown up to play silly games like board games or even the ones who are constantly on their mobile phones or persistent in wearing make-up or dressing older - those children I really donā€™t like! But, it isnā€™t their fault really at the end of the day itā€™s bad parenting but on the whole sometimes itā€™s quite annoying when they act like little adults, especially the ones who have lots of money aswell, itā€™s like a given that they get their way all the time, I have to laugh at tantrums though but that usually makes it worse :shifty:

Whatā€™s wrong with kids having cellphones? When I was 7 years old I used to write BASIC scripts on my Sanyo MSX machine. I donā€™t see anything wrong with giving kids tech to play withā€¦ learning how to use computers (which is what cell phones are) and how to communicate (which is what they do) is a genuine life skill, and itā€™s better they pick it up as early as possible IMO because letā€™s face it, thereā€™s no place in the modern world for people who are technologically illiterate. Good on the parents for giving their kids something thatā€™ll have genuine real-world use both in their learning and future lives.

I have a friend who hacked his iphone to have the keys (upon typing or hitting them) play the robot sound (I donā€™t know his name as Iā€™ve never watched starwars). Itā€™s quite funny.

I hacked my samsung rogue to play the wookie ;).

The point I tr yto enforce when 7 year olds get cell phonesā€¦who will they text? (I wonā€™t get into calling since they might call some). Kids should get their cells around 7th or 8th gradeā€¦that was a good time for me anyway

Even if you start at that age you will know enough skills. I text approximately 400 timse a day, depending on the day (Mon/Wed I have college). On a good day I can hit 500. I know my phone inside and out

Meh, donā€™t like nor dislike.

Maybe Iā€™ll like mine when/if I have them. But Iā€™ll be happy if we could just get along.
