This is more of a networking issue, but not sure where to post this.
Hi guys,
We have an sms gateway, that connects to a remote server in india. However the network times out when u run a tracert or during high traffic times.
Both the company in india and our hosts in the UK say it has nothing to do with them, I also cant ping or run a tracert from anywhere in the UK.

What can be done to rectify this ?

The ping and tracert not working probably has more to do with the firewall on the server than anything–most hosts don’t pass ICMP through for good reason.
By networking setup I mean look into some sort of dedicated connection with garunteed quality of service.
I’d guess the big question is “does your app have poor/slow response times?” Or is this just as question about why you can’t tracert?
we cant move close to the host, they are in india and i am in the UK.

i cant run a tracert from either home, server or office or even in my friends house.
Am wondering if there is any other thing i could do ???
Move the remote server closer or get a better networking setup.
