Coming up with a price list

Hello friends. I really need to come up with a price list for the services I offer potential clients. How did you come up with such a list for

  • Flash Design
  • Photography
  • Web Design (HTML and CSS)
  • Video Editing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • SEO
  • Web Marketing
  • Banner Design

Well, you get the picture.

The best way is really to research your competitor’s prices. Although you need to be particular about the exact market your competitors are targeting. Find competitors that are targeting the same demographic as you.

He is right that if you want to cover the market then you should research your competitor’s prices.

I usually compare the top service providers quotation and honestly If I say I do the custom quotation for any of the service!!

I have a similar question. I’m trying to come up with pricing for Facebook marketing that includes:

  • create & upload a cover photo
  • administer the existing Facebook page, as needed
  • post about 2 status updates per day to Facebook page

Anyone have suggestions of what to charge for this? Help is appreciated. Thanks!

Marketers typically use a duration of 7, for some reason it seems to work well. 17,27,37,97 etc…so you should go with that.

Totally agree! Do some mystery shopping.

Set up an email account (non related to yours) and send out a request for quote based on scope of works (SoW). Make sure you are quite specific in your quote. You can always say on the email you are flying out, and can they provide a rough guide of costs based on SoW by email as you can’t phone.

It’s a great way to find out how others sell themselves and the prices they offer. Send the email out to a couple of companies first, as you may need to refine based on feedback.

Don’t worry, you’re not doing anything wrong. Companies have been doing this for years.
