Colors on my superfish menu

I got so lucky on my very first post, I thought I’d try again.

I’m a major beginner on a big learning curve.

I installed Superfish in Joomla. Since I did, the menu background is “skinny” and too far to the right.

I can’t figure it out, I"m not smart enough <yet>.

It is supposed to look like this:

Can someone help me? THANKS!

You may need to clarify what you mean exactly:)

The menu is as wide as you have specified (10em)

The title (Superfish Menu) looks much too wide also and has dropped down in IE7.

This gets it lookin pretty tasty :slight_smile:

#ja-col1{float:left;}
div.module, div.module_menu, div.module_text, div.module_hilite, div.module_hilite2P{overflow:hidden;/*contain floats to

show image*/}

This is so exciting. I would of course never known how to do this - thanks. It looks great BUT now it doesn’t show my submenu. Can you help me again??? MUCH appreciated.

I haven’t looked at your code but if it doesn’t show your submenu NOW it’s probably because of the overflow:hidden; I gave you.

You need some other clearing mechanism so instead of using overflow:hidden; on the element I posted it on above, use the CLearfix :slight_smile:

Thanks for your help.

I spent the last couple hours trying to decipher and understand this plus copy/paste and make blind changes in my css file.

I am a major beginner and way over my head. Is there a way for me to make this simple and I can have a menu that scrolls to the right? Or what would my next step be?

What do you mean a menu that scrolls to the right? You mean this?

No I mean like I have already on my site (except you can’t see the sub menu). Can you tell I’m a grasshopper? I don’t even know what a Rubix cube time is. But mine wouldn’t be fast. I do on the other hand, appreciate any guidance plus help.

As I just said above, it’s because you have overflow:hidden; set and that cuts off the dropdown

div.module, div.module_menu, div.module_text, div.module_hilite, div.module_hilite2P{overflow:hidden;/*contain floats to

show image*/}

That’s the code I gave you to contain the floats. I didn’t realize it had a dropdown.

You need to remove that code, and on that same elmeent give it the clearfix instead (posted link above)

We can’t continue unless you do this ;).

Rubiks cubes are these
