I use to code in PHP a lot and sometimes on Asp.net. Was looking to learn a new language but was so confused about choosing one. Want to learn a language that is widely adopted in industry or atleast have lot of job openings, community support and documentation for quick learning. I thought RoR or scala could make a perfect choice but which one? may be should i learn python? help me choose. thanks
I bealive that in order of market share you would have to choose RoR. It’s 1. php 2. asp 3. ruby 4. python. Also the ecosistem of ruby is great, a lot of programmers and more comming, a lot of documentation/tutorials and code on various websites. It is also said that there is no unemployed ruby programmer at this time
