Cannot Set Up Android via USB for Debugging

Computer:
Windows 10
Chrome: Version 72

I’m trying to debug a web page on my phone (for functionality) and am not able to get Chrome to detect my device in Chrome Developer Tools > More Tools > Remote Devices.

I’ve read these areas and followed the instructions. No progress.

The phone is detected by the computer but not by Chrome’s Browser Remote devices.

Is the USB you’re connecting the phone to the computer with a ‘standard’ USB cable? I’ve had app problems in the past with using things like headphone receiver stations etc as USB cables. (Though i’ve never seen USB debugging through Chrome before, neat stuff… something i’ll have to try in the future…)

It’s the cable that came with the phone itself. Never had issues with it.
