Can small crypto startups actually benefit from press release distribution?

I’m a founder of a small crypto project and trying to figure out if press releases are worth the effort.

Most of what I’ve seen online talks about PR for big launches, but for smaller teams, it feels unclear whether it actually drives visibility or just sits on the web somewhere.

Some services like Web3 Newswire seem to make it easier for startups by offering structured packages and clear distribution, instead of just blasting content randomly.

Curious if anyone here has tried it early on. Did it help get noticed, or is it mostly just a credibility boost that shows up when people research your project?

As an experienced Web3 dev, I’d say PR is more about credibility than traction, especially early on.

It won’t bring real users by itself, but it helps when investors or partners research your project. Services like Web3 Newswire are fine for building that presence, just don’t expect growth from it alone.

For actual traction, focus on community, consistent updates, and partnerships.
