Hi there,
I was entrusted to get some ballpark estimates
together for a new venture with a solid online
presence. Ad budget/costs are indicated.

This project will include COMPLETE MANAGEMENT
of the client website, including:

— Weekly on-location visits (2-3 hours/week)
— Daily online website customer contact management
— External ad listing management (i.e. AutoTrader for an auto dealer)

— Monthly traffic report and results email

— Manage $3.00/day Google Adwords budget ($100/month)
— Eight (8) hours per month Google Adwords account management

- Daily manual key phrase budget management
- Online advertising management & banner creation

I am at a total loss as to even what this project could
cost, so I’m posting this in a couple places in hopes
of learning what the developer market is for this level
of quality management and support.

I’m not aware of many companies that would offer all of those services; it’s a very wide range. Also some of the items which you have listed under “monthly management” seem to me to be one-off charges which should be included in the initial cost of a site, rather than as an ongoing cost.

But really, there are too many variables to answer this accurately. It will depend to some extent on the size of the site in question, and very much on the location. What might be a reasonable charge in one country may be much too high or too low in another. Charges even vary from place to place within a country.

My advice would be to search online for companies in your area offering these services, and see what they charge. You may need to look for different companies for the different areas of expertise.
