Australian Govt wants ISPs to record browsing history

A little alarming, have a read of the article below. Not sure what to think of this country I live in any more :nono:

Companies who provide customers with a connection to the internet may soon have to retain subscriber’s private web browsing history for law enforcement to examine when requested, a move which has been widely criticised by industry insiders.

From what I understand, Google already does that anyway. But yeah, I heard about this on the radio this evening. Nasty stuff. Darn well means I can’t secretly watch those raunchy videos any more. Damn! :lol:

No different to any other country, the UK retains peoples information (by law) :frowning:

Shame we can’t just solve the problem by using a proxy and open DNS server… :stuck_out_tongue:
