I’m having a peculiar thing happen with a WP theme. Apostrophes and quote marks are not appearing in the blog title. The page briefly loads correctly, them the font changes to a different style and the apostrophes and/or quotes disappear.
I’m officially stumped. Anyone have a clue to what’s happening?

Have you tried deactivating your plugins temporarily to see if that could be causing it?
Do the apostrophes still appear in the source code?
Not until you suggested it; but that didn’t fix it.

Hmm, so do you see any styles applying to them? (Feel free to post or PM a link. If it’s a CSS issue, it shouldn’t be too hard to spot.)
It could also be worth using character codes instead of the keyboard apostrophe. Are you using cufon or similar? If so, check this out: http://forums.site5.com/showthread.php?t=33007
That was the problem. The blog’s default setting for Cufon Font Replacement was “yes.” Changing it to “no” fixed it.
