Annoying YouTube advertising

Hi there, is it possible to stop getting advertising on youtube, before the videos start which i want to watch i always get same advertising from such a stupid guys which want to show how to sell wolf marks and other rubbish, but always the same guys, i have really enough from this nonsense, why i dont get advertising from any other stupid think but always from this idiots?

The advertising you recive is probably based on your browsing habits recorded by Google. The adverts are there to make money for youtube.

If you could pay a subscription you could probably avoid the adverts but I do not think you can do that on youtube.

I dont know if they have any settings at youtube to set off this advertising or if i can pay youtube 10 dollar to stop advertising for one month.

AdBlock+ is probably the only thing that works

I have “adblock for youtube” and I don’t see any ads.

Apparently they are stopping the 20 second ‘must watch’ adverts in 2018 as everyone hates them. They will be replaced with shorter ones though.

I have been getting rather fed up with the amount of adverts on youtube. I don’t mind the odd advert every now and then, like radio i listen to music and expect an ad break. It just seems recently that you have to be forced to watch an ad for every video.

I can’t think of 1 single thing that i have ever bought because of this advertising. Normally the advert appears after i have been somewhere and bought something…no i don’t want another pair of trainers i have already bought them!!!

There seems to be the illusion that the more adverts you put on the more people will buy stuff, at some point it has to stop as it is becoming like if you walked into a shoe shop and they yelled ‘Buy our shoes!!!’ at you continually, until they eventually start throwing shoes at you, knock you to the ground and take your money. Well maybe not the last bit just yet, although amazon isn’t far from that. You looked at it, you bought it.

There is only so much crap you can get people to buy. Oh and seriously why try and sell me Taylor Swift singles when i am watching an Alice in Chains video???

The youtuber that publishes content in youtube has a bit of control about the type of advertising he can have in his video and which videos should have those ads.

If you’re a youtuber, onece you get to a 1000 views per day, you can choose to be included in the adsense prograrm or choose another advertising system (if you don’t want to use Google’s)

This is their revenue and it is to be respected. Because the ads are “integrated” (sort of) into the video, adblock will be of no help.

The ads will be selected according to your youtube browsing views.

There’s very little that you can do about it. Sometimes, not even the youtuber can choose the method type (whether if you can skip the ad after 4 seconds of viweing or you need to watch a certain minimum). Some other times, the youtuber does have a choice.

But this is the way that some of youtubers get some income to maintain their channels. It is up to you to decide if the content is interesting enough to suffer them.

YouTube seems to limit the number of ads you get. For example, I often only get an ad every 3 videos or so. Sometimes if an ad starts, I refresh the page, and get the video without the ad. :stuck_out_tongue:
