Adobe photoshop or other?

hello everyone. Please you can tell me which software is best for editing a picture?Adobe photoshop or anyother?

The first question is can you justify spending around £600 to edit one picture?

I would use something free as there are a lot of free programs around that will do 90% of what Photoshop can do. I can not recommend a program as you do not say what exactly you want t do to the photo.

your demand is too expensive for me.please giving me a favour by telling cheap picture editing software or some other.
thanks

I would use Gimp or paint.net and you can search the web for lots of other options.

To modify “a picture” you can get a trial Photoshop.
To modify “your pictures” you may buy Photoshop OR get a free software.

As Rubble said, it is true that Gimp has lots of options, like Ps.
I do not agree it is “90%” but, it is very advanced and if you get to it’s limits, in time, you may afford buying Ps.

A nice and free tool is Pixlr

A basic tool

You can find plugin that changing Gimp appearance to similar as Photoshop.

Photoshop is the best photo editing program.

Adobe has the Creative Cloud, which is a very cost effective way of getting Photoshop.

It depends what you will be doing with your pictures? is it just simple cropping and colour correction then usually when you buy a professional camera you get a free software with it. If you didn’t then I would recommend something that is free. You can find list of free photo editing software’s by searching Google.
I use adobe products but for example 10% of my time spend with Photoshop I edit photos, other 90% I do with logos, banners and so on.

As it’s been nearly two months since the OP visited this thread, there seems little point in reviving it now.

Thanks to those who contributed. Thread closed.
