John has extensive software development experience focusing on optimization and performance analysis on new hardware platforms with deep knowledge of the software development toolchain. John has given numerous presentations at international computing and scientific conferences, is the primary author of 7 scientific publications, is a co-author of over 200 peer reviewed publications, and contributed to several technical books. John holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University at Albany.
