The Metric System: Making Correct Performance Measurements

In the preeminent debugging world, FireBug was created to observe what was happening on a page, pre and post resource load. A decade later, the multitude of metrics available has allowed for granular measurements, but has also clearly created confusion. In this talk we’ll learn about metrics like FCP, FMP, TTFB and Speed Index to name a few. More importantly, we’ll see how to interpret them, and when to use them to improve user experience.
