Informative book, but seems short and lacking. There's not a lot to take away from chapter 4. The descriptions of what make the example sites good designs is extremely generic and could be implied by visiting the site by myself (i.e. words like "minimalist," "nostalgic," "playful," and "modern" don't help designers). Some of the most important design aspects, such as full-screen image headers and the major reduction of size in menu items and icons for "modern" layouts, are left out. Chapter 5 provides almost nothing to readers, either. All these meme-worthy mistakes are most likely a result from rushed design, outsourcing, or made by designers whose english isn't their first language. Designers with the smallest amount of common sense will avoid those mistakes.
