CPLEX Engineer

We're seeking a talented and experienced CPLEX Developer to join a mature team of engineers that contributes to a complex data-driven optimization project for the government. You'll work in a collaborative environment with other data architects, service designers, developers, and testers, reporting to the Head of Operational Research Optimization Development. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test a schedule optimization solution using IBM CPLEX. Extract maximum business value from available data through optimization techniques. Work with business analysts to understand client requirements. Collaborate with service designers and optimization experts to design the solution. Build an initial prototype and minimal viable product. Deliver associated tasks, including full testing cycle and documentation. Qualifications: Strong coding experience in Java. Experience building solutions to real-life optimization problems using CPLEX, Gurobi, or Xpress. Experience in evaluating and tuning performance of data extraction and manipulation functionality. Knowledge of algorithmics outside mathematical programming, such as graph algorithms, approximation algorithms, heuristics, constraints programming, dynamic programming, etc. Knowledge of parallel processing and hardware implementation aspects of mathematical algorithms.
