OpenStack Specialist Engineer - Systematic Fund - 1 Year Contract up to £800/day My client are a leading research-driven systematic fund who place significant investment into technology, having recently rebuilt their entire stack over the past 3 years. They are huge proponents of opensource technology and have created a unique "developer first" culture. They are looking to hire an OpenStack specialist to play a strategic role in the integration with a 10,000 Linux server estate on bleeding edge HPC bare metal servers. The wider stack includes Ansible, Python and AWS. This fully opensourced estate serves 1000s of users globally, who perform rigorous calculations on ultra-large scale data analysis make market-leading systematic trading decisions across all liquid asset classes. Requirements: 5 years' commercial experience using OpenStack. Strong grounding in Linux administration. Experience working across server estate (on prem) in the 1000s region. Desirable: Experience working across bare metal VMs. Ansible for config management.
