Head of Infrastructure Our client are a rapidly growing self-funded tech start-up based in London. They are currently on a journey to pivot from a tech enabled business to a tech first organisation and are currently revamping large parts of their platform and technology team as part of this journey. They’re currently looking for a Head of Infrastructure to join the team. This role will involve the management of a couple of other resources so may well suit someone looking to make the step up from an Infrastructure Lead or Principal/Staff level position. The plans will be to invest and grow this team over the next 12 months. This role will involve leading from a strategy perspective and building the most cost-effective infrastructure with compliance and security at the centre. Given the growth trajectory of the business this hire will likely have come from a high growth start-up/scale up business but other background are welcome to apply. Responsibilities – Develop and maintain the technical platform and infrastructure architecture strategy and roadmap. Owning the infrastructure strategy/budget Undertaking a full review of the existing infrastructure and creating a plan for the future state Taking the lead globally on everything Security and compliance focused Managing teams/individuals in distributed global locations Requirements – Deep understanding of platform architecture, infrastructure design and engineering principles, patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in multi-cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their platform services. Knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns and practices (e.g., , design patterns for microservices, loosely coupled architecture, DevSecOps practices, etc. ). Experience with a variety of infrastructure technologies (e.g., networks, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services). Proficiency in a multi-cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services. In return you’ll get a base salary up to £120,000 and a hybrid work policy (2-3 days a week in the office).
