Master Production Scheduler £35.00 to £40.00 per hour outside IR35 ☂️ 12 months contract Location Cheltenham Start ASAP Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Master Production Scheduler (Contractor) to manage and maintain the 3-18 month Horizon Master Plans within our ERP system. This role is critical in ensuring that customer requirements are met, inventory targets are achieved, and production capacities are aligned. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in the ERP system for a 3-month and beyond planning horizon. Ensure the MPS aligns with customer demands, inventory targets, site workshare, and configuration requirements. Validate load and capacity commitments from production to support the MPS. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs) and part records in PDM and SAP. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Engineering, Procurement, and Programs, to ensure alignment and accuracy in planning. Adhere to planning parameters such as Safety Time, Safety Stock, and quotas. Identify opportunities related to VEX needs and take appropriate actions. Follow the configuration management process, including maintaining production/planning materials and As-Planned configurations in PDM. Complete and manage engineering change documentation in SAP, ensuring timely updates across relevant departments. Manage the transfer of master data between PDM and SAP, troubleshooting and correcting any errors. Maintain accurate master data for program-specific parts in the ERP system. Ensure BoMs in SAP align with DLF and costing requirements. Routinely manage exception messages, considering specific situations such as OvRM-controlled parts. Support supply chain queries, including part shortages and alternative planning. Assist Senior Planners and Program Planning Managers (PPM) with relevant program requests. Qualifications: Strong leadership and communication skills. Effective team player with a collaborative mindset. Process-oriented with a strong focus on results. Proactive and analytical problem-solving abilities. High level of integrity and ability to work autonomously. Solid understanding of business processes and systems (SAP, MEDS, MES). Good understanding of MRP II principles.
