C++ Developer - Stockport - £45,000-£65,000 - 1 day per month onsite I am looking for talented C++ Developers to join a forward thinking, innovative enterprise software business on a hybrid basis (1 day a month onsite, mostly remote). I have placed over 15 engineers with this business across multiple different technical disciplines and the feedback we receive has been fantastic. They offer industry leading training, excellent progression alongside regular salary reviews. This opportunity could give a C++ engineer the required training to do a lot of hardcore JavaScript stuff including React & NodeJS, but this is only if the candidate is specifically interested in this, if they want to continue down the pure C++ route that is also absolutely fine. Essential Skills: Strong proficiency in C/C++ (v17). Experience with build automation tools like Jenkins. Solid understanding of API design principles using SOAP and REST. Familiarity with networking concepts. Comfortable working across multiple platforms: Windows, Linux, and Web. Expertise in designing concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerant systems for real-time applications. Proficient in debugging and diagnostics. Experience with source control systems, particularly GIT. Knowledge of automated testing techniques. Strong command of the Linux operating system. Desirable Skills: Experience with relational database management systems, ideally Oracle and/or SQL Server. Knowledge of Node.js. Familiarity with Docker and containerization technologies. Experience with AWS or other cloud environments. Nice to Have: Familiarity with web development frameworks like React and Angular. Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Groovy.
