Senior Systems Analyst Cardiff 1 - 3 times per week £50k Plus Standard Banking Benefits Join an exciting start-up bank as they revolutionise the financial services industry with innovative solutions and a customer-centric approach. They are seeking a talented Senior Systems Analyst to own the end to end software implementation process. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems that support core banking operations. You will work closely with the entire business to ensure that our systems are efficient, scalable, and secure. You will be gathering requirements as well as conducting workshops along with developing proof of concepts and manage roll outs. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, and implement system solutions that enhance operational efficiency and meet business needs. Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems and identify opportunities for improvement or optimisation. Lead the integration of new technologies and systems into the bank's existing architecture. Provide technical expertise and guidance on system-related issues to other team members. Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirements, design, and user manuals. Perform system testing and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet established standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in a timely manner. You will be working with outsourced partners, having prior experience of this would be ideal Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services industry ideally, please apply if not Strong understanding of banking systems, operations, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in systems analysis and design, with experience in both structured and object-oriented analysis methodologies. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
