Cloud Infrastructure Manager Cardiff 1 - 3 times per week £65k Plus Standard Banking Benefits Join an exciting start-up bank as they revolutionise the financial services industry with innovative solutions and a customer-centric approach. They are seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure Manager to work closely with outsourced technical teams and providers to deliver services, developing technical designs and challenging outsourced partners to maintain high standards. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and best practices. Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Establish and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans for cloud services. Manage and optimise Azure resources, including virtual networks, storage accounts, virtual machines, and container services. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner. Stay current with Azure advancements and industry trends to continuously improve and evolve our cloud infrastructure. Manage key supplier relationships Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure, with at least 3 years specifically in Azure. Strong experience with Azure services, including Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Proven expertise in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. Solid understanding of networking concepts, security practices, and cloud architecture principles. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights). Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
