Cloud Governance Specialist (Palo Alto & Firewalls Focus) UK/hybrid working model, MUST be based in the UK Contract perm roles Market rates £ I'm working with a large healthcare brand looking for a Cloud Governance Specialist with Palo Alto and Firewalls experience, for some upcoming projects of theirs. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud governance frameworks that ensure the security, compliance, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in Palo Alto firewalls and public cloud environments will be essential in safeguarding our clients' data and applications. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Governance Framework: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cloud governance frameworks that align with industry standards and best practices. Security & Compliance: Ensure that cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) adhere to security policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. Palo Alto Firewalls: Design, deploy, and manage Palo Alto firewalls within cloud environments to provide robust security controls, including threat detection and prevention. Monitoring & Auditing: Continuously monitor cloud environments to identify and address security vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance issues. Conduct regular audits and assessments. Policy Development: Create and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent security posture across all cloud platforms. Collaboration: Work closely with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to integrate security best practices into cloud infrastructure and application deployments. Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches or governance issues within cloud environments. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud governance, with a strong focus on Palo Alto firewalls and at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer are highly desirable. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of cloud security, networking, and firewall management, particularly within AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security scenarios and develop effective solutions.
