As part of our dynamic IT team, you’ll play a crucial role in driving the cloud strategy forward. Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join their Infrastructure team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of security, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, cybersecurity, and software development, to support the digital transformation journey. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions (primarily in Azure) that align with the goals. Automation & CI/CD: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices. Security: Implement best practices for cloud security, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security. Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Proactively identify and resolve issues. Collaboration: Work closely with software development, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to integrate cloud services into the broader IT infrastructure. Compliance: Ensure all cloud solutions comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies. Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure and processes. Provide training and support to other team members as needed. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, preferably within the financial services sector. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Azure Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK stack) Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
