Software Engineer

Senior C++ Developer, Greater Manchester (hybrid - 1 day per month), £65,000 A Senior C++ Developer is needed to join a growing (already international) SaaS company based in Greater Manchester (hybrid – 1 day a week on site). In this Senior Development role you will take the lead on development tasks and mentor junior developers to ensure our products meet the highest standards. As a Senior C++ Developer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, producing technical designs and driving technical improvements to align with our business objectives. Work closely with product and development managers to steer our product roadmap towards success. Your dedication to security will ensure our software remains robust and compliant with industry standards. Essential Skills: Excellent C/C++ (v17) development skills. Proficiency in Jenkins or similar build tools. Good understanding of API design using SOAP and REST. Familiarity with networking concepts. Experience across Windows, Linux, and Web Platforms. Knowledge of concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerant designs. Proficiency in Git and automated testing techniques. Experience with the Linux operating system. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server). Experience with Node.js. Proficiency in Docker and containers. Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments.
