Machine Learning Engineer

Senior ML Engineer: My client is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in AI and probabilistic modelling to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in driving their predictive modelling efforts, especially within the advertising sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing models that provide valuable insights into customer behaviour, sales trends, and the effectiveness of promotional activities. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimise machine learning models using SQL, Python, and other relevant tools. Employ probabilistic modelling techniques to enhance the accuracy and robustness of predictions. Build explainability into predictive models, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) for future forecasting. Integrate models into existing data pipelines to ensure they deliver accurate and actionable insights. Collaborate closely with the CTO and other team members to deliver high-impact projects for clients. Work with academic partners to contribute to research-driven initiatives. Technical Skills Required: Strong expertise in SQL and Python. Experience with probabilistic modelling and LLMs, particularly in building models based on raw data. Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, and data engineering best practices. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Interview Process: Initial Discussion: An introductory conversation with the CEO and CTO to assess fit. Technical Assessments: Two take-home tests—one in SQL and another in Python. Final Interview: A meeting with the team, either in-person or virtually, depending on location. This role cannot offer sponsorship.
