Data Migration Consultant

Job Designation: Senior Data Migration and BI/Analytics Specialist Job Type: 6 Months FTE Job Location: Leeds, UK Roles & Responsibilities: Be a part of an end-to-end data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and quality. Develop, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using ODI, OBIEE, Workato and PL/SQL. Design and build data solutions on Azure, leveraging Databricks, Data Factory, and other Azure services. Utilize Python and PySpark for data transformation, analysis, and real-time streaming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver insights. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Create and manage technical documentation, including data models, process flows, and solution designs. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, storage, and processing. Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members. Interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels to communicate project status, risks, and deliverables. Work in a hybrid environment, balancing office presence and remote work. Required Skills Primary Skills: ODI, OBIEE: Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience. Oracle SQL, PL/SQL: Proficiency in writing complex queries and scripts. ETL/ELT concepts: Strong understanding and practical implementation experience. Azure Technologies: Databricks, Data Factory: Expertise in data engineering and orchestration. DevOps, Storage Explorer, Data Studio: Competence in deployment, storage management, and development tools. Python, PySpark: Advanced coding skills, including real-time data streaming through Autoloader. Development Tools: VS Code, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket. Service Management: Experience with ServiceNow. API Integration: Proficient in using Rest API for data integration. Secondary Skills AWS Services: Knowledge of AWS Postgres RDS, Athena, DMS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis streams, S3, and IAM roles. Additional Technologies: Familiarity with Groovy, Typescript, Power BI, and the Hydr8 framework is a plus. Other Requirements 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Data Migration, BI, and Analytics. Strong understanding of SDLC lifecycle and agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
