Senior Software Engineer

The business My client is one of the UK’s largest retail and distribution businesses operating from a central Birmingham location. The company achieve over £250m turnover last year and the CEO’s vision is to grow the business by 50% year on year. As part of this continued expansion within the development team, they have immediate requirements for a senior developer to join a small and well-established team to work on new and exciting development projects. The person This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior developer to work on new projects including writing good quality code, analysing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of software. You will also be overseeing junior developers on key projects and support them on various development duties and demonstrate a good technical ability in creative design and support innovation across the business. An ability to thrive in a high pressured working environment, and possess excellent communication skills, whilst working to agreed deadlines. Due to the nature of the work involved this is an office based role with good access links into central Birmingham Skills and experience Knowledge of PHP, MySQL and Next.JS Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS including user interfaces Ability to perform coding assignments and code reviews Ability to create and implement design plans Analyse code segments Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technology developments Solid experience in coding at a senior level Excellent time management skills.
