The Global Head of Digital Software Engineering is responsible for crafting and executing a strategic technology vision that drives the development of digital products, particularly focusing on high-quality customer web and app experiences. This role involves leading outsourced engineering teams, ensuring the adoption of best practices, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals. The individual will oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable digital solutions, supporting the clients transition into a digitally focused, customer-centric brand. Key Responsibilities of the role : Develop and execute a digital and MarTech technology strategy. Lead and mentor outsourced engineering teams, promoting innovation and best practices. Translate business requirements into technical solutions. Oversee digital product transformation initiatives. Evaluate and decide on technology investments and strategies (SaaS, build vs. buy). What we are looking for in the Head of Software Engineering (Digital): Strong background in digital software development (Node, React, Kotlin, Swift). Experience in extreme programming practices (TDD, continuous delivery). Proficiency in microservices, cloud hosting, and CI/CD. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in the hospitality or retail sector, with a preference for those with experience in franchise models.
