Senior Software Development Lead - FX Technology As a Senior Software Development Lead within their FX Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their software solutions. Based in London and reporting to the Head of FX Technology, you will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software products that meet the evolving needs of their business. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on software design, architecture, and development processes. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture. Product Development: Work closely with product and sales teams to deliver cutting-edge software solutions that align with their business objectives. Quality Assurance: Ensure that their software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, and leverage them to drive innovation. Qualifications and Experience: 15 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and trading systems. Proven experience leading and managing software development teams. Deep understanding of FX industry and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in modern Java technologies, including multi-threading, low-latency, and concurrency concepts. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with FIX protocol and REST APIs. Knowledge of business and technical analysis, quality assurance, and delivery management. Experience in broader financial markets.
