Lead Data Scientist

LEAD DATA SCIENTIST UP TO £90,000 HYBRID (LONDON 3 days per week) We are working with a leading strategy/consulting company with a global presence, that operate across various industries including Financial, Healthcare, Media, Retail etc. They are looking for a Data Science lead to join their Data and Analytics team (of 18). ROLE: Consulting on various areas inside and outside of the business. Most of your time will be spent on the consulting side - using Data Science to solve client business problems. Then the rest of your time will be on internal projects such as finance or marketing. Focus areas include pricing, customer segmentation, Gen AI/LLMs, optimisation, and forecasting Project durations typically last 6 weeks You will mostly be working on European projects with occasional global assignments Python & SQL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3 years of experience, with a preference for those who have led projects and worked collaboratively on delivery Consulting experience required, preferably in strategy consulting or data science consultancy Experience with short-term projects (6-12 weeks) preferred Generalist data science experience or specialist who is comfortable being a generalist Ability to explain techniques in classification and clustering PROCESS 30-minute introductory call with the hiring manager Technical case study with a tech team member Commercial interview involving a project and report presentation Final stage meeting with partners
