Senior Software Engineer

Our startup client requires a Software Engineer to join their core team in London as their first dedicated software engineer. This role offers a unique opportunity for significant autonomy and influence over the development and direction of their platform and product. You will play a key role in building a cutting-edge SaaS product designed to empower materials engineers with advanced AI technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop a robust cloud platform for scheduling and managing the training and deployment of custom AI models. Create an advanced web-based image manipulation application for preprocessing image data used in machine learning model training. Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from initial design through to deployment and maintenance. Technologies Used: Frontend/Backend: TypeScript with React/Next.js and Express/Prisma Machine Learning: Python Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform (AWS) Database: PostgreSQL CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions What They’re Looking For: 3 years of experience as a product-focused software engineer. Strong proficiency in writing well-tested, maintainable code with a statically typed language (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Java, Scala). A product-oriented mindset with experience in customer engagement, product definition, and end-to-end feature delivery. Comfortable working across the full technology stack.
