Back End Developer

Futureheads have an exciting opportunity for a Back-End Developer to join a reputable global media business. As part of a growing team, you will be responsible for delivering the underlying functionality that makes the end customer experience appear slick and frictionless. Historically a PHP shop (Vanilla, Laravel, Slim) but are well on the way to shifting to Typescript (NestJS) and Go for their backend API’s. The API’s are consumed by internal and external clients, maintaining backwards compatibility within them is an important aspect of the craft. Role focus: Building and maintaining API-First web applications, Assessing the efficiency and speed of current applications Writing high Quality code (TDD) Troubleshooting and debugging Keeping on top of new technologies To be considered you will need to be able to display the following: Previous commercial experience working in a back-end developer / full-stack role Experience with a backend technologies such as PHP (Laravel), JavaScript/Typescript or Golang Experience in environments or large corporates/consultancies where stakeholder management is key Up to £55,000 benefits This is a remote position, MUST BE UK BASED.
