Senior Manual QA Location: Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite in London Type : Permanent Salary : Up to £70,000 We are partnered with an innovative VC backed start-up in the health and fitness space, revolutionizing in-home workouts with cutting-edge technology. Our product seamlessly integrates various real time data sources to deliver personalized training sessions tailored to the individual. They are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to take the lead in manual testing across all aspects of their digital and physical product line. As the first dedicated QA, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the software and hardware meet the highest standards. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to shape the QA function and drive quality throughout the development process. Key Responsibilities: Own the QA process for the core application, computer vision tracking, workout content, and hardware components. Implement shift-left testing practices to ensure quality is embedded early in the development cycle. Conduct comprehensive manual testing to identify and reproduce bugs in our software. Integrate regression, functional, and exploratory testing into the QA process. Collaborate with engineers to manually test and validate computer vision tracking features. Work with content teams to ensure new workout content meets quality standards. Inspect hardware shipments to ensure compliance with product specifications. Coordinate with developers to support smooth, bug-free releases. Potential to grow into a leadership role as the QA team expands. Requirements: Extensive experience as a Manual QA/Tester in a startup or high-growth environment. Strong background in mobile and web app testing, with a focus on usability. Ability to create tailored test plans and strategies for complex tech stacks. Proficiency with project management and test management tools. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Attention to detail and a process-driven mindset. Experience in QA testing for physical products. Product-minded with a strong understanding of product development. Background in software development. Personal interest in fitness, particularly in testing fitness products.
