Cloud and Infrastructure Lead

First Derivative are looking for Cloud and Infrastructure Lead to join the Capital Markets Business to drive cloud and infrastructure engagements with our customers. The successful candidate will translate business requirements and aspirations into target infrastructure and cloud architecture strategies and roadmaps. Additionally, they will provide solution designs and necessary governance to ensure successful implementation and operation. Required Skills: Extensive experience with one or more major cloud vendors (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Expertise in selecting cloud-native technologies within a layered domain architecture to meet both IT and business requirements. Strong experience with on-premise infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VMware. Experience working with both physical and virtual network technology providers, with a solid understanding of network integration concepts. Proficiency in developing high-level and low-level solution design documents. Ability to specify technical standards and patterns that support the development of secure, scalable governance and operating models. Advising and consulting with technical teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and other operational concerns. Excellent presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders and driving deliverables to completion. Experience working in a global Agile environment, with strong work management, organizational, and planning skills. Nice to Have: Understanding of enterprise-wide architectures within an Enterprise Architecture Framework, such as TOGAF. Experience with IT cost optimization through Enterprise Applications Rationalization Programs. Experience working in mixed vendor multi-cloud environments. Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Azure, GCP, Microsoft technologies, or Cisco networking are desirable. Familiarity with Cloud Access Security Brokers and Data Loss Prevention services. Experience in performing a design authority role, including governance and reviewing technical artifacts to ensure alignment with architectural standards.
