Data Scientist

Data Scientist | Initial 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35) | UK Remote (Occasional travel to Reading) Experis have partnered with a well-recognised client in the South East who are looking to recruit a Data Scientist on a contract basis. You will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models and data-driven solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable and robust applications using cutting-edge technologies in the Azure ecosystem. This role requires candidates to have either active SC Clearance, or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data science solutions to solve complex business problems. Work with Azure Container Apps to create and manage containerized applications for data science projects. Implement and manage scalable solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for the deployment of machine learning models. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate data science solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployment and operations. Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and support decision-making processes. Develop and maintain documentation for data science models, processes and best practices. Key Experience Required: Proficient in data analysis, statistical modelling, machine learning, and data visualization. Experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages. Experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using Azure Container Apps. Strong knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) for deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications in a cloud environment. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation using Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills to articulate complex data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with big data technologies such as Azure Databricks, Apace Spark, or similar. Familiarity with other Azure services such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, and Azure Data Factory. Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies.
