Python Developer

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Python Developer to contribute to a challenging Commodities Database project in a cloud-based environment. This role involves developing robust reporting tools, establishing data access standards, ensuring data validation, managing ETL processes, constructing and maintaining databases, and creating intuitive data visualization tools and dashboards. Key Responsibilities: Developing Reporting Tools: Design and implement reporting tools to facilitate data analysis and decision-making processes. Standards and Data Access: Establish and maintain data access standards to ensure data integrity and security. ETL Process Management: Manage ETL workflows to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the database. Database Construction and Management: Build and maintain databases, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Data Visualization: Develop data visualization tools and dashboards using Dash, Tableau, or PowerBI to present insights and trends effectively. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong Python Development Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation and automation. AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services for cloud-based application development and deployment. GitHub: Proficiency in version control and collaboration using Git and GitHub. SQL: Solid understanding of relational databases and experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation. ETL: Experience with designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL processes for large datasets. Database Construction/Management: Ability to design, build, and manage databases efficiently. Dash/Tableau/PowerBI: Experience in creating interactive data visualizations and dashboards. Preferred Skills: Commodities Markets Experience: Familiarity with commodities trading, pricing, or related industries. Data Analysis: Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights. Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
